Sophos UTM Software Appliances

The software appliances include the operating system and all security applications bundled within a single software image. While offering the same capabilities as the hardware platform, they can be easily installed on your hardware of choice – maximizing deployment flexibility. The Sophos UTM  software appliances are much easier and faster to set-up than software applications that require the installation of an operating system in advance.

The Sophos UTM  software appliance is available on CD with a printed manual or can be downloaded directly from Sophos servers and independently burned onto a CD. It comes as self-booting software package that can be easily installed on a dedicated Intel-compatible computer (gateway) within minutes. The Sophos  software appliances offer an identical feature set as the pre-installed hardware appliances, however with the additional freedom to change or upgrade the underlying hardware platform at will. They also offer complete flexibility for installation on various virtualization platforms.
