Backups - scheduled and verified

Since the advent of the computer in the corporate world, this is probably one of those items that all organizations should ensure is done properly. There have been many times in Symtrex's experience, when a company has contacted us to state that there server has gone down due to hardware failure, only to find out at that time that the backups were completely useless.

Is this a security issue, probably not, however with the legislation from the Privacy Commissioners office it could be a critical piece, especially if client data is wiped out.
