Kingmar Handling Equipment

Kingmar Handling is a material handling firm located in the Greater Toronto Area. It has been servicing its clients for over 20 years, providing top quality material handling, storage and industrial equipment industry standard products and customized solutions.

The Challenge:

Kingmar had a couple of challenges facing them in the early 90's. The first was to build a network in order to work more effectively within their office. The second was to be connected to their largest supplier in order to provide current pricing to their customers and to facilitate ordering. The last item was a corporate web site.

Solution:

Symtrex was hired to design and implement a local area network for their office.

Symtrex was then hired to design, implement and test a project to connect Kingmar to their largest supplier, Tenaquip. This would provide Kingmar on-line access to pricing and availability. Kingmar was the test company for this project. Tenaquip has subsequently implemented this system with other companies.

The last item was a corporate web site that would enable customers to view pricing and place orders on-line. Symtrex designed and built their web site. Initially developed using a product called Tango, this was converted in 2001 to a PHP/MySQL application. Symtrex continues to host and maintain their web site.
